About me
Shelby Huerta is an experienced educational leader with over 25 years in public education, specializing in English Language Arts and English Language Development. She has served as a teacher, instructional coach, site administrator, and county level coordinator, collaborating in the design and implementation of high-impact ELA/ELD programs and professional learning systems. Shelby’s work centers on supporting multilingual learners, including Newcomers and Long Term English Learners, through integrated and designated ELD instruction aligned to the California ELA/ELD Framework and EL Roadmap. She is passionate about building educator capacity through coaching, data driven practices, and collaborative systems that ensure equitable access and achievement for all students.
